Athletic Training Major Receives Positive Accreditation Review

The Athletic Training Major in the Department of Kinesiology has received notification from their professional accrediting organization, CAATE, that the AT major has received a positive review of their Accreditation Progress Report which was submitted on June 1, 2009.  This notification came via a letter to UNH President Mark Huddleston in which CAATE also stated that the program’s next comprehensive accreditation review (including on-site review) has been extended to 2017-2018 academic year. 

The national standards for entry-level AT education are established with support from sponsoring organizations such as the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, Inc.
